As a composer, Stella writes music in the form of tone poems matching the mood and expression needed in the composition. Compositional style contains counterpoint, choral-like, details through dynamics and articulation, dramaticism, and rhythmic utilizing percussion. Her style can compare to Piazzolla at times with a rock groove, and mild atonal qualities for chordal sections. Her compositional quest is to always allow the melody to dictate where the music is going supported by harmony and accented rhythms. She looks for creative ways to bring out the music that are not typical. By using tranditional instruments with rock band instruments, Stella is considered to be a crossover composer, writing music that you can dance to with classical and rock instruments combined.
Beginning her performance career in 1997, Stella or "Styliani" has given recitals at Weill Hall (Carnegie Hall) among other NYC Venues and pit orchestras. She has eight Recordings as well as a Soundcloud channel. She was invited to study with the legendary, Pioneer of the Saxophone, Sigurd Rascher. She has been heard on National and International Radio.
